“I can’t survive without a creative project.”
“Hold everything tightly and loosely at the same time.”
“Nothing’s perfect. Just do it, then learn from it.”
“Ugh, why am I even doing this?”
“Aaaaah, this is so good!”
All things I’ve said recently about The Coaching Zine, a rapidly developed experiment born from an inner knowing + the input from candid, warm, excited folks in my community (extra special thanks to Heather Burkman & Thea Bloch-Neal) + a desire to stay connected with friends, family, and current/future clients in a unique, helpful, fulfilling way.
Over the past couple of weeks, as I’ve envisioned and executed on this project, I’ve been reminded how fruitful (and painful!) the cycle of starting something new can be for me. It often goes something like this:
What’s a zine?
A petite, collaborative, edgy journal-meets-art-project that’s a vehicle for wisdom, care, and smiles.
What’s this zine?
Each month, I invite coaches, leaders, healers, and other brilliant and creative folks to offer resources and practices for our heads, hearts, and bodies that can help us stretch and grow.
This month’s theme is Sensing Your Emotions.
, , and are my courageous inaugural contributors.What I don’t know
If The Coaching Zine will look anything like this next time or if I’ll do more borrowing from my 4-year-old’s art supplies.
If I’ll do this again.
The best form of delivery. PDF? Screenshots on Instagram? Snail mail?!
How the zine will land with you. Will you let me know? I’d love your feedback and input.
What now?
Enjoy!
